Shortbread Cookies

1 1/2 cups of flour
1 cup of butter
1/4 cup of cornstarch
1/2 cup of icing sugar
1/4 tsp. of salt
Candied cherries (optional)

Soften the butter at room temp.
Mix well and knead.
Cool inĀ  fridge for at least 1 hour
Roll and cut into circles
Place 1/2 of a candied cherry on top

I usually double this for Christmas.


Bake at 325 degrees F for 10 – 12 min.
