Holiday Sugar Cookies (Decorate with Icing & Candy)

2  cups of sugar

1 1/2  cups of soft butter (not melted)

4 eggs

5 cups of flour (reserve 1/2 cup for rolling dough)

2 tsp. of baking powder

1 tsp. of salt

3/4 tsp. of vanilla

Divide into 3 balls and wrap in plastic wrap

Let sit in the fridge for 20 minutes

This will make the dough easier to work with.

Roll and cut into shapes for Christmas, Easter,
Halloween, Valentine’s day or any special occasion.

This recipe makes 8 dozen cookies depending on
the size of your cookies

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 min.

I have always made these cookies
for or with my Kids for Christmas. They always
look forward to decorating them with icing and different kinds of candy.
